Traditional Chinese edition - Three-volume set

Bookbinding has long reflected a desire to protect and preserve the written word. From richly decorated scrolls, to the wooden-board bindings of late antiquity, to early codices--sheets of papyrus, paper, or parchment  gathered and bound along one edge--to  increasingly complex cloth-covered case bindings in the nineteenth century, bookbinding forms have evolved to make books more durable, easier to use, and more pleasurable to read.

Drawing on this tradition, this three-volume collector’s edition brings together Amber and The Lost Chronicles of Kyakhta. Open the clothbound cover, turn to the hand-drawn maps, and enter the world of Amber. The three volumes come together as a single literary object, made not only to be read, but to be revisited, treasured, and passed on.
